Sign up for a free PayPal Premier Account, which allows individuals to accept credit and debit cards.
If it's free how do they make their money? They take a small percentage commission
on each transaction -
Unlike high street shops which pay monthly fees to a company such as Streamline for their Debit / Credit Card machine. PayPal has no monthly fee, it's a pay as you go service, you only pay when you receive money. It's free to send money.
So when money is received a small percentage commission is automatically deducted by PayPal. The remaining money sits in your PayPal account. You can then transfer this money to your bank account via the PayPal interface.
It's a quick easy to use system which was popularised on eBay and now in widespread use on the internet and beyond.
